Ms. Ammakannu.Se is working as Assistant Professor (Law) in TNNLU, since
July 2019. She has taught Public International Law, Family Laws, and Competition
Law. She completed her under-graduation from SASTRA Deemed to be University in
May 2018. Having a passion for teaching, she pursued her post-graduation in
TNNLU, specializing in Intellectual Property Laws. During her LLM, she qualified for
the UGC - National Eligibility Test in January 2019. The steady focus towards
teaching made her choose “Education and Intellectual Property” as her research
area for Dissertation during her post-graduation studies. She has a keen interest in
the Interplay of Human Rights and Intellectual Property. She has researched on
‘Gender Equality in WTO’, for which she received the ‘Best Paper Award’ in the 1st
International Conference on International Trade Law, conducted by Delhi University
and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, February 2019. She believes education is all
about the interdisciplinary approach and the knowledge of the law is something that
should be possessed by non-law students as well. She then introduced Intellectual
Property Laws to non-law students through a Special Lecture in August 2019. She is
interested in research and other activities that shall contribute to the development of
the marginalized individuals/groups in the contemporary scenario. She believes the
world will be a better place to live if young minds are nurtured positively. She is also
enthusiastic about extra-curricular activities for the student community and
passionate about the overall and inclusive development of her students.
