Mr. Kumar is in the process of completion of his PhD degree in the area of CSR and Rural Development from Central University of Punjab. He has received his B.A.LL.B. degree from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and LLM degree with distinction from Central University of Punjab, Bathinda. He has also qualified UGC-NET for law subject.
He is a recipient of many awards and fellowships, including Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education Scholarship for pursuing Ph.D. in the area of “Possibilities of Rural Development through CSR in India” and the Best Research Scholar Award (Humanities Stream) for the year 2020-21, conferred upon him by the Vice-Chancellor of Central University of Punjab. Mr. Kumar has also received the Deakin University Visiting Scholarship Award from Deakin University, Melbourne (Australia). Mr. Kumar has presented his research work at various international and national platforms including the National University of Singapore, University of Melbourne and University of Wollongong. Before joining his PhD, Mr. Kumar briefly taught at Jamia Millia University, New Delhi and Nirma University, Ahmadabad.
He has extensively published his research work in few of the internationally-renowned Journals including Statute Law Review, published by Oxford University Press, in association with Oxford University (An ABDC Journal Quality List ‘A’ ranked and Scopus Indexed journal), Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice (Published by Oxford University Press, Scopus and ABDC Journal Quality List indexed journal) & CEERA (A Journal of NLSIU, UGC-CARE listed). His area of interest includes Environmental Laws, CSR, Corporate Laws and Insolvency laws.
