Ms. Vedavalli joined as a Writing Fellow at the TNNLU Centre of Research and Writing from July 2021 to June 2022. From July 2022, she became an Assistant Professor of Law (Adhoc) at TNNLU. She graduated from TNNLU in 2019 and is the first undergraduate alumna to join TNNLU as a faculty. Her interests in Maritime Law led her to join Gujarat Maritime University, Gandhinagar, from where she pursued her LL.M. (Maritime Law). Her LLM Dissertation topic was “Marine Protected Areas: A critical analysis of law and policy in India”. She graduated from GMU in September 2020 by obtaining First Division with Distinction. During her LL.M., she qualified for UGC-NET in December 2019.
Some of her works include “Effects of implementation of the Labour Code on Industrial Relations Bill, 2015”, in Manupatra and “Regulation of Medical Devices in India: Lessons from USA’s Flaws”, published in Indian Journal of Health &; Medical Law, [S.l.], v. 2, n. 2, Jan. 2020. She also co-authored a blog post for the Symposium on Covid-19 and “New” Human Rights hosted by Völkerrechtsblog and the Global Pandemic Network (2021), titled “The COVID-19 Response and the Right to a Healthy Environment in India: A Fraught Relationship”.
She has completed certificate courses in International Labour Law, Infrastructure Law, European Law and Maritime Labour Law. Her other areas of interest include Climate Change Law and Policy, Environmental Law, and Air & Space Law
