Movies have been a source of entertainment and inspiration since they were invented. The audio-visual format has also been a very effective tool, contributing to the process of nation building. As a part of the STAP programme, the Film Club had proposed a two week 'Freedom 75 Film Festival'. Through this festival, the Club sought to explore ideas of patriotism, nationalism and freedom through movies. Week 1 of the Freedom 75 Film Festival was held from 11th April to 16th April with the following movies - Uri, Chak De India, Swades, Rang De Basanti, Lagaan, and Ghazi Attack.
