Biography

Mr V. Ravindran joined as an Assistant Professor of Law at the TNNLU in January 2023. He started his Academic career as a Research Assistant at the Legal Centre for History of South India, TNNLU and later continued as an Assistant Professor of Law in School of Law, Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology. 

He completed his undergraduate studies, B.A. LL.B.(Hons) at Tamil Nadu National Law University in 2020. Working closely with the marginalised people in the nearby villages of TNNLU, as a Student Coordinator of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, TNNLU and as a Member of the TNNLU Legal Aid Committee, increased his research interest in the Rights of Marginalised people. 

After he graduated from TNNLU, he went on to pursue his Master in Laws in Access to Justice from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. He was awarded the Institute Silver Medal for the 2nd Best Student in LL. M. He believes that creating awareness about basic (educational) rights, primary level school education, accessibility and quality of education would contribute to social upliftment of the marginalised communities. In similar line of thought he did his LL.M research on the Quality of the Primary education imparted to the socially Backward Communities, titled “Access to Quality Primary Education to the Socially Backward Communities in the District of Salem”.
