Online Chess Tournament

Abou The Event

  1. The Vice Chancellor has approved the sports club’s proposal on Feb 15 2022, to conduct an online Chess Tournament (An intra university tournament) on the eve of India’s 75th Independence Day celebration from 01/March/2022 to 02/March/2022.  
  2. The notification of the Online Chess Tournament was sent to UG students, PG students and Faculty members on Feb 16, 2022. 
  3. The total number of participants have registered for the tournament is 25. Since it’s an intra university tournament no registration fee was collected. 
  4. On 01/03/2022, 21 matches (Ist round, IInd round and Quarter finals) were conducted. The match results are provided in Table 1. 
  5. On 02/03/2022, Dr.Thomas Felix Faculty In-charge Sports Club welcomed the gathering. Followed by Prof (Dr.) V.S. Elizabeth inaugurated the final match between Mr.Richis Jesvanth J, IVth  Year B.Com LLB and Mr.Sanjith, IIIrd  Year B.Com LLB.  
  6. The winner of the online Chess Tournament is Mr.Richis Jesvanth and runner-up is Mr. Sanjith.
